PARCA eNews – Oct. 6, 2015 – ONC has adopted a new format for test procedures that is less prescriptive and more outcome-focused. ONC released draft test procedures concurrently with the release of the 2015 Edition proposed rule.
Stakeholder input was factored into the development of the final test procedures for the 2015 Edition Health Information Technology (Health IT) Certification Criteria, 2015 Edition Base Electronic Health Record (EHR) Definition, and ONC Health IT Certification Program Modifications final rule.
The 2015 Edition final test procedures are open for public review and comment before being finalized and approved by the National Coordinator. The 2015 Edition final test procedures will be posted for public comment in waves.
The public comment period for the 2015 Edition Draft final test procedures ended Nov. 30, 2015. The majority of 2015 Edition final test procedures will be approved by the National Coordinator and posted on in mid-December 2015.
