PARCA eNews – March 20, 2018 – Learning from others and sharing your own experience is the theme of the SIIM 2018 annual meeting to be held May 31 to June 2 in National Harbor, MD. SIIM is a conglomerate of different members that range from Physicians, Scientists, Students, Residents, Technologists, Vendors, Consultants, IT Engineers and Developers
The meeting will focus on issues most relevant to enterprise imaging informatics. The meeting will feature experts and thought leaders including: Dr. Curtis Langlotz, Medical Informatics Director for Radiology Stanford University, Geraldine McGinty, MD, Assistant Professor, Radiology Weill Cornell Medical College, Alexander Tobin, MD, Associate Chief, Radiology Informatics, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and Paul Nagy, PhD, Deputy Director, Johns Hopkins Medicine Technology Innovation Center.
Topics cover the range of enterprise imaging from informatics, cybersecurity, VNA deployment, FHIR, DICOMWeb APIs, machine learning, standards updates and more.
The setting at National Harbor in Washington, D.C. provides a resort-like feel with waterfront restaurants, shopping and the 700-foot pier at the National Harbor Marina.
The preliminary program is available on the SIIM website and registration is open now with an early bird deadline of May 2, 2018, which cuts $100 off the registration fee after May 2.
